Prompt Video ("the App") is developed and operated by an independent developer ("I", "me", or "the developer").
This policy explains what data the App collects, how it's used, and your rights.
1. Data Collection
The App requires sign-in with Apple or Google via Supabase Auth.
When you create an account, the following data is stored:
- A unique user ID linked to your Apple or Google account
- Your prompt text and reference images used to generate videos
- Technical metadata for video generation (duration, size, model name, etc.)
- Credit balance and subscription status
- Basic error logs and timestamps (e.g., when a job starts or finishes)
- General, anonymous usage data (e.g., screen views or feature interactions) to understand how people use the App and improve performance
2. Video Generation
Prompts and reference images are sent to OpenAI's Sora API to generate videos. OpenAI receives these inputs solely for video creation.
I do not use prompts, images, or videos for model training or analysis.
Generated videos and uploaded reference images are stored temporarily in Supabase storage for 10 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
Database records (like text prompts and expired URLs) remain for record-keeping, but the URLs no longer resolve to actual files.
3. Payments
Payments and subscriptions are handled by Apple's in-app purchase system. I do not receive or store any payment card details.
Apple only provides transaction confirmations needed to update your credits or subscription status.
4. Data Retention
- Videos and images: automatically deleted after 10 days
- Account data (prompts, credits, etc.): kept until you delete your account
- Account deletion: permanently removes all related database records
5. Age Requirement
Prompt Video is intended for users aged 18 and older. No age verification or content moderation system is in place.
6. Third Parties
The App uses the following trusted services:
- Supabase - authentication, database, and file storage
- OpenAI - video generation via Sora
- Apple - account management and payments
These services have their own privacy policies governing data handling.
7. Your Rights
You may:
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Request a copy of your stored data
